Autumn Spirit, Dark Shore

Giant, gathering storm clouds tower in the sky like a great Norse god, and radiate an eerie light over these dark shoreline cliffs. Bright yellow trees paint a vigorous swath of high notes across the cliff tops. The gap between rock faces carries the eye upward, to the impending drama in the sky. Lawren Harris’s Lake Superior works inspired this.
