Prairie Symphony #4

A magical light brings prairie grasslands to life at sunrise. This piece is all about arcing curves and sweeping light, an abstraction of the essence of rolling plains. Different shades evoke dark soil, verdant grasses and pools of water, all orchestrated into a composition of grand scope. The deeply angled, dramatic light of dawn grazes the gentle slopes, forming a drawing in light. I think rolling hills are not only fertile in an agricultural sense, they are endlessly fertile subject matter for the artist.
